Keurig Canada Named Among Canada’s Top Employers For a Third Consecutive Year

Company recognized for parental leave, community service and flexible workplace programs

MONTREAL, Quebec – November 22, 2019 — For a third consecutive year, Keurig Canada Inc., doing business as Keurig Dr Pepper Canada, has joined the ranks of Canada's Top 100 Employers. The yearly ranking is based on a national competition that determines which employers lead their industries in offering exceptional employee workplaces.  Following the merger of Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. and Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc., the Canadian business unit employs approximately 1,500 people in Montreal, Mississauga and across Canada. It also offers an expansive brand portfolio, including Keurig®, Canada Dry®, Van Houtte®, Schweppes®,  Timothy’s® and Mott’s Clamato®, providing employees the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative work environment within the beverage industry.

A key measurement in the Top 100 employer award, Keurig Canada emphasizes work-life balance by promoting healthy lifestyle choices and giving back to the community. The organization offers competitive health benefits including credits that can be applied for healthy lifestyles, physical activity programs, or the company’s Group RRSP, depending on employees’ preferences. The company encourages its employees to give and volunteer, by matching certain of their charitable donations, and financially supporting the organizations to which they afford a certain amount of their time. Employees also team up to assist with community projects.

“We’re striving to be best-in-class, and that creates a workplace where someone can have a real, world-class experience in this industry,” states Stéphane Glorieux, President, Keurig Canada. “Giving people new opportunities and responsibilities makes them better, more holistic leaders. We’re always looking for people who are builders – people who have a constant desire to learn and make a difference.”

When it comes to employee engagement, Keurig Canada goes above and beyond by offering source trips. Parent company, Keurig Dr Pepper Inc., sends about 60 employees each year to spend a week with coffee farmers on the ground in coffee-growing regions. Mr. Glorieux adds, “People come back transformed. Not only do they experience first-hand the incredible effort that goes into growing and producing coffee, but it really puts into perspective the importance of business initiatives like our commitment to responsibly source 100 percent of our coffee by 2020.”
